Kintsugi 3: It's okay to be yourself.

"Just be yourself . "

As we explain in the workshop, Kintsugi is deeply connected to "Wabi-Sabi" and is a technique that values the "beauty of imperfection."

When I look at works in which gold has been applied over the scratches, I feel that not only vessels but also people, both visible and invisible, should not be seen as "flaws" but should be embraced as unique individuality .

It's okay not to be perfect. It's okay to have days when things don't go well.

Embracing yourself as you are

I think that's very important.

Kintsugi is a technique that does not hide flaws, but rather makes use of the beauty that exists because of the flaws.

It's the same for us, it's okay to carry our flaws and painful experiences. But we can still move forward and we are loved just the way we are.

I hope you will remember this every time you see kintsugi.

Experience eventually becomes strength.

Tomorrow will definitely come.

It's okay to cherish yourself just the way you are.

The memory of experiencing Kintsugi

I hope that it will be a quiet support for you and me as we navigate the rough seas that may come our way someday.
